I just got one the other day. I wash my face twice a day, but when I get them, I just use witch hazel to dry it out. I also wash that part if my face alittle more each day until it gets better.

 Q. Zits and hard lumps... what? my brother has a couple of under-the-skin lumps on his face. you can't see them but when you feel his face, there are certain spots that are really hard. he has a couple of zits on his face too and the big lumps are under the zits.

my older brother has the same problem. except now he isnt as bad as when he was back in high school. it might be part of growing up or problem with his body. he should go get check i know my brother got diagnosed with a blood problem and food intake that was causing him to break out even more he was also given some medication and creams for his face. your brother should go to the doctor and get checked from their on the doctor might refer him to a dermatologist which will deal with his acne.

Q. What is it called when you have a really hard bum on your skin? i have a really hard bump/lump on my skin, feels like one of those zits, but it is bigger and you cant pop it, bout the size of a pencil eraser and it blends in until you run you hand over it. oh.. and it doesn't hurt or bother me just worried of what it could be

Q. Ladies...please help! hair and skin after childbirth? i had a baby in end of sept 2007. over the last 4 months my skin has been breaking out like crazy and my hair is falling out a lot!!! my face looks like i have horrible acne and i'm worried because my hair is thinning out all over my head. is this normal? how do i stop this? i know you can lose some hair after, but this is terrible! before i had the baby, my skin was gorgeous and now i look awful and it's really bringing me down. a friend said i should take some estrogen vitamins - could this help?
by the way - my face is breaking out with these big hard zits that never really form into a pimple, they just look like lumps under my skin and they hurt. some form into a pimple but others just hurt and look red.

but i would recommend that you keep taking your prenatal vitamins until your hormones are back on track.

Q. Any dermatologists out there? unusual skin problem. :( help please!!!? sometimes i go through something where my fingers break out. first, i get these lumps that cover all my fingers. they are like zits except thier filled with a clear liquid and they get like half an inch big sometimes they cover all my fingers. they hurt not itch. and they are so fragial they can pop. after a week they dry up into really hard skin, like scabs. i peel them off (it leaves my last layer of skin)takes bout a week or more then my skin goes back to normal. well as normal as its ever been since this started happening to me (5 years ago). doctors though i had psoriasis but i dont. my theory is that my skin is so dry that it goes through this process to "moisturize itself". ive realized that the more hot showers i take the more it happens, so i avoid them, and i put more lotion on. it helps a little, but i still want to know what else i can do or at least what this condition is called. cause no one else with dry skin goes through this.
I'm no derm. but this sounds more like a allergy. When I was a kid (long time ago) I had an outbreak like this after touching a caterpillar. My mom soaked my hands in vinegar/water and it went away.
Maybe they should test you for allergies.

Q. Whats this lump??? cancer??? a bruise??? help!!!? my leg has been hurting for a few days now, whenever i walk. so i checked it out, i took a look at my leg, and there's a small, hard, lump there. i dont know what it is, a bruise, cancer, or something else, but its not really like a 'bubble' lump, more like the ones zits look like, except bigger. its about the size of my pinkie finger. i dont think it's a bruise, because it isnt colored purple or blue or anything. its a normal skin tone. and it really hurts when i touch it and when i walk, because its rubbing against my other leg. it started hurting two days ago, after we did a hard workout in pe, so it could also be a result of the leg workout there... but i'm worried it might be cancer, and i dont know how i got it, if it is cancer! help me, please!! i'm really worried!!

Sounds like a cyst. Get some rubbing alcohol and clean the area up. Then get the hottest wet Towel that you can stand to put on the area and leave it on for a while . This should help with the pain some. Then after the moist Towel treatment clean it again with rubbing alcohol and cover the area with a gauze bandage. Sometimes when working out you may get an ingrown hair that can ball up into a cyst. If it does not improve then go see a Dr a lump that will not go away is nothing to mess with! Good Luck!

Q. Bumps between my toes, does anyone know what it is? i noticed last night when i was putting lotion on my feet that i have a bunch of tiny bumps between my big toe and the smaller toe next to it. they kind of look like little zits, they don't hurt but the skin that they are on is abnormally hard and, i don't want to say swollen, but a large "lump" that isn't usually there. has anyone had this before?
so since i've been trying to get my feet softer i've been putting lotion on my feed immediately after taking my shower and then putting socks on because i heard that would help, maybe thats doing it?
IT COULD BE ATHLETES FEET OR TOO MUCH MOISTURE AND SWEAT BUILD UP
