Q. How much of our money goes to the united nations every year?
"Their are books about the abuses especially from nation not paying..."
ASK New Yorkers, their are books about the abuses especially from nation not paying. The base contribution is made by percentage of the nation's member GNP (Gross National Product) if they do not produce anything, (maybe the goats) you and and all of us working and tax paying are paying for it.
Once it was published that ONE of the UN delegates had 70 servants in USA, and food-goats imported from his homeland to USA, all paid by UN!

Q. Why am i getting emails form the united nations saying that they owe me money for compensation? help how do i stop them contacting me ?
yeah the nigerians.

Q. How raise money for my college's model united nations club? my model un club at my community college needs some money to be able to attend a model un competition in san francisco which takes place in april. also, theres another un event in new york. we;re located in southern cali, the community college. the school has agreed to cover some of the costs but primarily we need to fundraise ourselves.
the san francisco trip would be about $2000 and the new york approx. $7000.
how can we raise the money without continuing our small, lame bake sales that bring only about $50?
i was thinking perhaps contacting all my local news stations to cover my story and have people donate that way. yet i assume the majority of people would donate only if it is tax deductible for them...so how can i make this happen?
other suggestions are welcome. thank you so much!
:-)
Have a cultural fair or dinner and serve foods from different lands. Charge a small fee for people to attend.

Q. With the current economic crisis, why does obama want to give $850 billion of our money to the united nations? http://www.usnews.com/blogs/capital-commerce/2008/2/20/does-obama-want-a-trillion-dollar-global-tax.html
we need to get our own house in order first or this country will collapse.
To repay over 50 percent of his campaign contributors.

Q. How much money does the united states give other nations in aid per year? i understand the us gives about $60 billion per year to africa; i would guess israel must get much military money as well.
how much does the us give to other countries in the past years?
"Not because of money but because of prayer..."
I would hope the US would help Israel too. They have helped the terrorists in lots of ways and that never should have been the case. But, Africa, of course they always need lots of help. they were uneducated of course but they have been getting better in some areas. It's the missionaries who have helped the most I think, not because of money but because of prayer, patience, love, self-sacrifice and the support they were getting personally too, although they never get enough support.

Q. In total how much emergency aid (or money) has been donated from the united nations (canada)? in total how much emergency aid (or money) has been donated from the united nations (canada)?

the aid america gives is 241 Billion dollars an dthe world is crying we don't do enought here is a site that has the countries listed in donation order.
1. The USA is the world's biggest giver
“When the going gets tough, Americans keep giving - to the tune of nearly $241 billion. Charitable donations for 2002 set a new high, rising 1 percent over 2001's total in current dollars, according to Giving USA, a report released Monday by the American Association of Fundraising Counsel's Trust for Philanthropy in Indianapolis. The estimated $240.92 billion in gifts equaled 2.3 percent of US gross domestic product.
Although once it is adjusted for inflation the amount represents a 0.5 percent decline since 2001, it still shows "the resilience and pervasiveness of giving in our culture," says Leo Arnoult, chair of the AAFRC Trust.
Most donations come from individuals (76 percent of the total), and some nonprofit sectors were hit harder last year than others.”
By Stacy A. Teicher | Staff writer of The Christian Science Monitor newsfeed, 2003 June 23
2. ... and the stingiest
The USA is only the worlds' biggest giver because it is rich. In terms of generosity and altruism, the USA is the most stingy and self-interested giver in the developed world:
"[Americans] are regularly told by politicians and the media, that America is the world's most generous nation. This is one of the most conventional pieces of 'knowledgeable ignorance'. According to the OECD, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, the US gave between $6 and $15 billion in foreign aid in the period between 1995 and 1999. In absolute terms, Japan gives more than the US, between $9 and $15 billion in the same period. But the absolute figures are less significant than the proportion of gross domestic product (GDP, or national wealth) that a country devotes to foreign aid. On that league table, the US ranks twenty-second of the 22 most developed nations. As former President Jimmy Carter commented: 'We are the stingiest nation of all'. Denmark is top of the table, giving 1.01% of GDP, while the US manages just 0.1%. The United Nations has long established the target of 0.7% GDP for development assistance, although only four countries actually achieve this: Denmark, 1.01%; Norway, 0.91%; the Netherlands, 0.79%; Sweden, 0.7%. Apart from being the least generous nation, the US is highly selective in who receives its aid. Over 50% of its aid budget is spent on middle-income countries in the Middle East, with Israel being the recipient of the largest single share"
"Why do people hate America?" by Ziauddin Sardar and Merryl Wyn Davies, 2002. p79
Not only that, but according to one source cited by Sarder & Davies, 80% of that aid itself actually goes to American companies in those foreign countries.
% of USA aid 1988-1989
Israel 12.5
Egypt 9.5
Pakistan 3.9
El Salvador 3.3
India 1.9
Philippines 1.8
“US aid, which acquired an increasingly military flavour during the Regan years, is now concentrated on a relatively small number of countries of special political importance.”
"Introduction to International Politics" by Heater & Berridge, p80
According to Heater & Berridge, Israel has been receiving 12/13% of all American charitable foreign aid since 1979, the chart shows numbers from 1988-1989.

"You can't become a member of the united nations..."
You can't become a member of the United Nations. The United Nations are a political organization of almost all sovereign states in the world, not a club where individuals can join for a fee.
