It depends a lot on your weight and body fat. Everyone is different and people have been known for going one month without food and survived and others died after three weeks. However, after three days of fasting your body starts to feed on its own fat. If you have much, you will survive longer if not, your organs will start shutting down due to the lack of energy to continue working. I have been eating healthy and working out as my new year's resolution, but last night i had mcdonalds and i got drunk which was probably like 3000 calories lol... i was thinking about fasting for 3 or 4 days to make up for it because i feel so guilty now, but at the same time i don't want to lose the muscle i've gained so far :(

dont fast. All you do is make your body think theres no food so it goes into starvation mood, which lowers metabolism and stores fat. Better to just do some cardio like running, cycling etc.. to burn off the calories and eat sensibly.

yes all foods have bacteria on it, and in it. this bacteria is generally digested, does no harm or gets passed through your body, but some is harmful (e coli, etc) and can cause you to get sick raw flesh tends to have more of this, but even tomatoes and other veggies are known to have some chance to pass it on... look at what happened to tomatoes, spinach and pistachios lately with reports of ecoli outbreaks.

I have always loved steak, hamburger and just about any kind of meat. but lately, it just seems that i don't care for it anymore. sometimes it's the taste of the meat. other times it just doesn't appeal to me anymore. i find myself eating more soups and salads. i don't seem to care for the texture of meat. it's almost kind of repulsive. i get depressed after eating meat sometimes. is that normal? could that be a symptom of the way the animal lived and died. can that animals life feeling amplify into the human body after eating it. i know it sounds crazy but if you knew me and how much i used to like burgers and steaks you would find this really wierd.

I want to stop feeling bad and start feeling good in my life. i am doing and will be doing many things to manifest this change, one of them being the address of my body's physiological requirements. i am thinking seriously about going vegetarian. i'm reading fit for life by harvey and marilyn diamond and i agree with so many things vegetarians point out. humans have hands, not claws. humans have molars, not canines. humans have an intestine which is super long, while carnivores have one that is like 12 feet long. the hydrochloric acid in carnivores is like 10 times more potent than that in humans. psychologically humans don't like hurting peaceful herbivores like deer and rabbits. the diamonds point out to trust your common sense and how you feel. i haven't eaten pork in years, or beef in months. i still eat chicken, fish and egg whites. i just had an egg white sandwich, it didn't go down so good (again). feels heavy. i'll continue eating animal products if they help me, but do they?
