My friend Jessica has the same problem. Her doctor told her that it was just her body`s way of making pimples. I know you aren`t her, though, and you should consult your doctor to make sure it`s not something more serious- like maybe cancer.

Yesterday i got hit in the nose, i cried. it was glasses or someones head. there was a huge bump & it was red. and there was a bruise on both sides of my nose. clear stuff came out of my nose, it was swollen. and under my eyes were purple. now one day later, eyes are abit purple. nose has a bump, its swollen, has a red dot. and i can't touch the cartilage of the nose; is it broken or what? should i see the doctor. and should i ice it or heat it?

Only way to know for sure is to have it x-rayed. See your doc.

I bent down and hit my nose, right in the middle like the bridge, on the corner of our metal table. there is a huge bump and it is kind of purple. do you think i broke it or did anything to it? it hurt pretty bad. its throbing and there is a lot of pressure. thanks.

Be cool and don't worry about it. It's probably not a broken nose, but if it is, and using common sense you will know it, go and see a doctor who will properly bandage your nose.

Its located on my nose.at first i felt this huge bump on my nose, it hurt only when i touch it. later it started to look purple - red . then it looked like a huge pimples. then it turned into a lump of white. small, but not small like black head and white head. it is slightly large, but not that large. its been there since the start of may and has not disappeared. i have tried exfoliation, i tried neutrogena blackhead clearing wash, i have tried putting ice on it.. which made it red actually. i do wash my face everyday. with a 3 step regime. cleanse, tone and moisturize. i use cetaphil oily skin cleanser, nivea stay clear toner, nivea mattifying gel cream (for the t-zone area) and clean and clear oil free moisturizer (for the rest of my face). they seem to work for me, because they control my acne and oil. since i am acne prone and has combination skin. but i just can't seem to get rid of this "acne". can you diagnose me what it is and what products (that is affordable) that i can use to get rid of it. because it sometime give me these purple/red blemishes which look disgusting. i have 2 of them. i am also 13. Get some aspirin pills. Crush them up and mix them with a bit of water until it turns into a paste. After that just put it on your skin just before you go to bed. It works for me. It makes the spots look less red and eventual gets rid of them but I don't know if it works for blackheads. :(

nah it should be fine! well the wave isnt made to fight acne its just for amoothing skin and cleaning it it doesnt have any acne fighting stuff in it! :[[ but i love it it keeps my skin baby soft and hydrated what u need to do is whenever you sense/feel a zit comming onput ice on it for 10 minutes i do this whenever i get zits wich is like all the time im like u! and it will really bring down the swelling so it wont be as red as big or as noticeable and what i use it noxema microbead cleanser and noxema anti blemish astrigent and sometimes clean and clear astrigent also if your washing your face more than twice a day that could be the reason because it will irritate your skin and make acne worse! so wash it in the morning and evening and moisturize alot and DONT PICK YOUR ZITS! that will make them worse and they will leave scars trust me i have all kinds of scars ive had them for years! also when i go to bed i dab some solid deoderant on the zit or toothpaste or some acne medication i like oxy medication or neutrogena and it really does the trick and if you do that every night it will dry up on about 2 days and i use facemasks and i like to use honey and lemon juice the honey is anto bacterial so its good with acne and the lemon juice is the same and it will lighten the red places on your skin and tighten your pores and honey and yogurt do the same thing just it doesnt lighten the red places from acne and dont touch your face if you touch it alot that could be the problem and the stridex too also if you wear makeup make sure it says non comedogenic that means it wont clog pores or make you break out and if you wear concealer get one with acne medication in it

Ok i was at a mma class and got kick in the nose now the left side of my nose is kinda purple like a small line and it like a huge bump sticking out any suggestions would help on how to treat and its not broken because its not pain full

Ice. Ice. Ice. And lots of it. And often. 5 min on, 5 off. 5 on, 5 off. 5 on, 5 off. The timing isn't that critical, but I find that repeated and frequent and short bursts of cold is more effective than 15-20 on for 3-4 times. There is a lot of cartilage in the nose, it's not like getting kicked in the thigh or shoulder, so if you break an artery or vein which it sounds like you did, that blood isn't easily going to get out of there. Depending on the huge bump and the speed with which you are bleeding/swelling, you may want to take a trip to the ER to get it lanced (if it's a blood blister kind of huge bump) Icing may keep the bump/bruise/swelling growth down depending on how fast you're bleeding in there. Right now it's a race. Ice it LOTS over and over and that -may- reduce the bleeding and inflammation enough that the bump won't become a major problem. 'kinda purple' isn't necessarily a problem. 'huge bump' may be, depending on how 'huge' it is. Ice it like crazy. And use your brain to determine if you need a trip to the ER. its a scar, try some scar creams or oil, or if your desperate go do a scar removal surgery(make sure you get a good doc. though cause unqulified ones can make even biger scars.)
