I noticed washing that a marble sized lump appeared at the top and between my butt cheeks. It is a little itchy and seems to have now gotton flat on top and is purple or dark with a red ring around it. I lift weights and thought maybe it was a hemiroid but it is at the very top of my cheeks. What could this be?

Hello. i have this lump in between my butt cheeks, right at the base of my spine. it is marble sized, and easily moved around under the skin. i have been researching it and read about pilonidal cysts. but i have no other symptoms of it other than the bump. and you cannot see the bump if you look in the mirror, it is only noticable through touch. any ideas? your help is greatly appreciated. (:

What is this small hard bump?

I have this i guess marble sized (not in volume) hard bump on my butt cheek. it is very hard, and moderately painful. it will not go away, i've had it for probably 6 months now. it went away temporarily but came back. when i first got it i popped it with a sewing needle, and oddly very very dark red blood oozed out of it(sorry for the detail). but sure enough every time i popped it all it would do is further irritate it and it would fill back up within minutes. i just sterilized a sharp knife and made an incision on it, alot of puss filled blood came out. i plan to keep the area sanitized and bandage to prevent further infection. i feel like a ****** leper or something, this **** is rediculous it litterally shot out i am a clean person, i shower 1-2 times per day and makes sure to clean the affected area thoroughly i'm only 16 and this isn't something i wanna run downstairs and tell my mother about the only reason i'm really worried is i don't wanna feel embarrassed during sex it's not a hemorrhoid the pain is very very mild and it is on my cheek and only hurts when i sit on it

its a hemorrhoid its not unusual or rare. in fact, you have probably seen a few TV commercials advertising creams to relieve the pain. You can try to use the creams, but if the pain is really bad, just talk to your mom about it. its so unusual or bad that you should feel embarrassed.
