I purchased an 08 mazda 3. Had 54 thousand miles..I drove the car for three weeks with no issues. However, out of the blue the cars engine light came on. I pulled over, read the manual that stated that when the light comes on to slow down your speed, and take the car in to your dealer when you have the first chance. I drove straight to the car dealers garage....unfortunetly they said the engine was blown. Since I had a 90 warrenty they took it in, and contacted the insurance company of theirs...after having it for a week, and the insurance company asking them to break down the engine and find out the cause of why it happened, they told them that they will deny the claim because it actually falls under the 60 thousand mile 5 year power train warrenty from the factory. They were told to send it to a Mazda dealership and let them handle it. THe dealership called Mazda and told them about the engine, what they have done to it and explained what they were told by the insurance company. Mazda dealer stated to label the parts and send it to us. THe car has been with them for little over a week, with no answer as to if they are covering it or not. All I have heard was the car should not of arrived all broken down. That they don`t think the adjuster will accept that. That the car was not properly handle and it should of arrived in one piece so they could break it downa nd find the cause not this other place. SO at this time I have no car, have to make my first payment tomorrow. and I have no answer for coverage other than probably not going to honor the warrenty....can I sue the dearlership from where I bought it since it was only 3 weeks old and the engine blew. I am 47 not a kid with a toy.. I drove it with caution and was not doing any crazy things with the car....The dealership also told me that I was buying a Mazda 3 GT but found out its not...its a Mazda 3.....what can I do...
