I have this tiny red dot on my nose for about 5 yrs. A few yrs ago I scrubbed hard and it a small amount of blood came out. It seemed to go away for a while and now it`s back. Could this be Basal skin Cancer?

Hi someone hit my nose at a rock concert and it hurts a bit, no blood but there is a bump on the bridge of my formerly straight nose. will this bump be there for the rest of my life? will it reduce if i put ice on it now? (7 hours after concert) thanks

its probobaly just swollen ice will reduce swelling but the rule is 15minutes on 30minutes off i believe if u leave ice on indefinitley it will make it worse

Nose had a very slight bleed stopped within a minute.no swelling on the nose but when the side of the bridge area is touched he complains of pain.otherwise he is normal.

I would think he'll be fine. He's just bruised it a bit, same as if he'd bumped his arm and was pressing on the bruise there. If he doesn't have a headache or anything like that, relax.

Today i was in the ocean and my surf board came up and hit me in the nose. it left a bump on the bridge of it. will it go away? im kind of nervous

I've hit my nose before. It should go away in maybe...a week? Just give it time. I wouldn't go to the doctor, unless you think you broke it...but obviously you'd be in a lot of pain if you did that. It depends on how hard you hit it, but it should go away in a few days to about a week or two.

I was wondering if a bump on the bridge of the nose can be caused by somewhat getting hit in the nose multiple times throughout life? i could be wrong but when i was little until i was 13 i had no bump there, i could just be paranoid, but i think a small one has developed. i am 16 now.

It can be because u got hit on the nose or maybe you're face is changing . It could be both.

Yesterday i got hit in the nose because my friend blindly threw something, aiming for the door, but hitting my nose instead (yeah, she's crazy). now there is a big bump on my nose and i can't get it to go away! i put ice on it for a good half hour yesterday and the majority of the swelling went down, but i really don't want to have a giant bump on my nose forever, so is there anything i can do? thanks

Well keep putting ice on it and see how it goes for a couple of days. If the swelling hasn't at least gone down tomorrow i would see about a doctors appointment for the following day. If it has gotten physically better by the day after tomorrow give it another 2 days before you seek medical attention still putting the ice on it. If it hasn't gone down in those 4 days go to the doctors and ask them about it. Seen as it may be a small break or something. Its hard to tell when i'm not looking at it. Good luck!,

I got hit with a water bottle in the nose. a few days after a bump appeared. its been there for 3 weeks now and it won't go away. the bump is not sore or anything. any clue on what it is?

Contusions of the skin like you describe take time in healing internally. The only other things that may have happened is you now have a deviated septum in the nose , or you might have fractured your nose. Can you breathe well out of both nostril? Maybe you should check with your doctor.
