Jerold | Q. I hve this pimple on my iper lip i poped it like a normal pimple but it came back the next day and white again so i poped it again but its really sore?
"I wake up with a swollen upper lip..."
The same thing just happened to me - I`ve been trying to squeeze out this zit above my uppper lip for a week; finally broke skin yesterday and it kept oozing (sorry).
Today, I wake up with a swollen upper lip. Honestly, I think it`s an infection from yesterday - doesn`t help that I keep touching it.
The best you can do with an infection is either put on some antibacterial cream, see a dr for antibacterial meds if you really want to, or just let your immune system take care of itself (may take a few days). I`m just going to wait it out.

 Q. How do i pop a pimple/zit on my lip? i have a serious whitehead pimple on my lip and it hurts like crazy. i can't pop it because it hurts so much. any idea how to pop it painlessly?
First poke it with a pin. Then all the guts will squeeze out easy.

 Q. Best way to pop a zit or pimple? ? i have this pimple on my ear lobe or inside it and i need to know whats the safest, less hurting way to pop it? have someone else pop it, just squeeze as hard as i can or what? it hurts like hell just barely putting pressure on it and please don't give me anything like "go to the doctor" or anything because its just a normal pimple or zit. thanks, and if i like your answer you get points!
"Popping a pimple by using your fingers and applying..."
umfortunately, popping a pimple by using your fingers and applying pressure can damage your skin and believe it or not, in some casescan cause scarring. therefore if you just have to get rid of it, i would suggest use a needle, safety pin, etc (sterilized first) and prick the tip of the head and GENTLY remove the exudate (the gunky stuff) then sterilize the "wound" and give it time to heal. no picking.

 Q. If you pop a zit/pimple when its ready will it leave a scar? if i dont pop it, will it just go away, even when its ready to pop? because everytime i get one i pop it and im not sure if they are scars or blemishes.
"How you pop a pimple may be the most important aspect to preventing scars..."
How you pop a pimple may be the most important aspect to preventing scars. If you must, put a warm washcloth or tea bag on the area to bring the pus to the surface. Disinfect the surrounding area, then insert a small pin and allow the pus to drain on its own with minimal squeezing. If you have to apply pressure, use qtips to prevent bacteria from your fingernails entering the area, but do not squeeze forcefully with your fingers. This often results in scarring, especially in sensitive skin, but even these will fade, both with time and over the counter aids (such as lemon juice).

 Q. How to pop a zit or pimple or black head?
"Stop squeezing the second any blood appears..."
Everyone will tell you not to due to the risk of scarring which can definitely occur but here is how to do so with the least amount of damage....dampen a washcloth with very hot water. Squeeze out excess water, place on clean zit for about 5 minutes. Wash hands. Do not use fingernails to squeeze. Instead place fingertips only on either side of zit and push, then place fingertips on opposite sides (like a square, you are trying to push on the 4 corners surrounding the zit). Only do this a couple of times. If nothing comes out the zit is not ready and if you keep trying you will scar your skin. Regardless, stop squeezing the second any blood appears. After you finish, wash and apply an antibiotic or antiseptic to the former zit.

 Q. Fastest way to get rid of redness from popped pimple/zit fast!!!!!? so i popped a pimple and a zit (both were ready to be popped) on my forehead and now they are really red and i was wondering how can i get rid of the redness quickly possibly overnight if possible and make it heal faster
thanks
Nothing you can do. Just don't pick at it or scratch it and leave it alone.
If you absolutely need to cover it up with make up, do it; but know that that doesn't help it heal any faster.

 Q. Gross question: what's that amber-looking water that comes out after you've popped a zit/pimple? i know, it's gross. still, what is that stuff?
"Skin and releasing a tiny bit of blood and the sebum..."
Hopefully I can make this make sense.
A pimple is just trapped oils (sebum) under the skin. Do not confuse sebum with sweat as it is not the same thing. When these oils get trapped they cause an inflammation which is the bump with a little white dot at the top that is the sebum that your skin is trying to force out. When you pop this you are breaking skin and releasing a tiny bit of blood and the sebum . This mix will create an amber like color as the red is mixed with a cream color. if you continue to squeeze you will only get blood.
Even if it is not a white head, a zit is basically the same make up. An inflammation of trapped sebum. You really should just spot treat (sulfur works best) and drink plenty of water. You will end up with scars from popping pimples like that.

 Q. Is it ever smart to pop a zit? i often get small zits that tend to disappear on their own overnight, but every once in awhile i will get a big, stubborn pimple that stays until i pop it. trouble is, i have very fair, sensitive asian skin that scars very easily and i almost always get a scar where the popped zit used to be. does anyone know any alternatives to popping a particularily stubborn pimple?
"And very gentle poke the white head of the pimple..."
well, having acne myself I would say no. I always get scars, but Its really hard to resist them when they are huge and crap....
I can feel what you feel. But sometimes, when they are big like
that, I first wash my hands so not to have so many bacteria and them, and also use a hand sanitizing agent, then I get a sterilized pin (the ones used in sewing) and very gentle poke the white head of the pimple, so then the white stuff just oozes out. Then I very gentle squeeze the rest of it out. And after that, I wash my face with a gentle face cleanser so other bacteria from my face doesn't get into the open pore where all that pus just was, then I dab some alcohol on it to make sure it dries out. Then the rest of the days I dont touch it until it goes away. And if you dont want it to leave a scar, apply small amounts of Vitamin E to the spot. Vitamin E is actually the best thing that works on scars. It should come in a little bottle that you should be able to get from your local rite aid or CVS
good luck....
=)
