I had a cyst removed from my breast over 4 years ago & this is the first time that it had been sore and tender, the doctor says it may be an ingrown hair or a pimple, but i think not. he poked at it and nothing came out, as well as the fact that i have had no menstrual cycle this month, but 2 pregnancy tests have come back negative. i am 38 years old could this be pre-menopausal symptoms?

i have a keloid on my breast too. mine came from a scratch caused by the underwire in my bra. i hate it but the best thing you can do is go see a dermatologist. it probably isnt cancerous but its a good idea to have it checked out first considering that even a mole can be cancerous. mine started small and now it's bigger than a half dollar coin. my doctor said i could get a biopsy and have it surgically removed, or receive monthly cortizone injections until it decreased in size, or just stopped growing. i choose the injections and even though it hasnt gone away completely, i dont suffer from anymore soreness, itching, or stinging...which can be really embarassing in public considering the location. it's has also softened and some parts have lightened in color and flattened completely. make sure to treat it while its small so you wont need so many injections with higher doses of cortizone , and it probably wont take as long to shrink in size. the injections or made with a tiny needle filled with different doses of cortizone depending on the size of the keloid. as it shrinks in size so do the injections and dosages. they basically treat it like a regular shot by swabbing alcohol over it then injecting it, though usually more than once in different places to spread the medicine evenly, wipe off any blood, then put a bandage on it and your done. my doctor usually applies a spray to numb the area before the injections and i usually feel nothing after its over, except for a little soreness if touched. good luck!

I've never had a cold sore before, but for some reason (i get the occasional pimple once every month), i had a pimple on my lower right lip the day before a big date, so i popped it. it bleed a little, but the next day it was back (but with the white pus stuff), so i popped it again. the pattern continued for about 4 or 5 days until the point where the thing growing on my lip was too irratiable and inflamed to "pop". now, everytime i try and put lotion or any mostiurizer on it because it hurts to talk or do any type of movement that consist of my lips moving, the cold sore/pimple burns, or starts to bleed somewhat or feels like the veins inside the cold sore / pimple are contracting heavily. so is it a bad pimple or cold sore?

It is cold sore. Cold sores generally clear up without treatment. In the meantime, the following steps may provide relief: Use creams. Over-the-counter (OTC) creams can provide comfort, but don't expect them to speed healing. Take an OTC pain reliever. These include aspirin, acetaminophen (Tylenol, others) and ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, others). But don't give aspirin to children. Aspirin may trigger a rare but potentially fatal disorder known as Reye's syndrome. Use cold or heat. Try applying ice or warm compresses to the blisters to ease the pain. Let it heal. Avoid squeezing, pinching or picking at any blister.

It has been inflamed for a little more over a week now and where it is inflamed it seems almost hardened. it is sore when it comes into contact with anything even my pants rub against it. what is it? if anyone knows anything about this plz let me know

I've got a really sore lump on my cheek, its kinda inflamed too. i've bin putting on t-tree oil but it doesn't seem to work. any ideas on how to bring it to a head? ty everybody - it started as an ingrown hair and it then became infected for some reason or another - i really need to get the infection out so i can get the hair out too

I have an idea; leave it alone. It will eventually come to head and when it does that's when you can use something to draw the pus out. You'll only make things worse by picking and poking at it and you can cause it to become infected that way. Just leave it alone! Good luck.

You didn't say how long it had been there. If it is open or sore-like, and it's been there longer than a month, then go to your doctor as that is a sign of a skin cancer. It's not the serious kind, but you would need it frozen. If it's just a big red bump under the skin, then it's an under the skin zit. Go to any store that has a good supply of vitamins and minerals, and buy Tea Tree Oil. Apply this morning and evening directly to the spot with a Q-Tip. It will clear it up very quickly. For example: have a lump up in the buttcrack closer to the right side, and it has two red like synchronized bumps on top of it, with a small colorless lump off to the right of it, that is also painful. been taking back to health minerals, because suspected the herpes virus, but the butt developed a raw rash along the whole length of the butt crack and it itched and was sensitive to the touch...but never been tested for herpes, don't want to know the result. yet, since takin the minerals, the body has been better, but the side affects are said to cause pimples, rashes, nausea, fatigue and possible outbreaks. never had red bumps spread all over, or dark bumps like you see in herpes photos, but concerned. the first buttcrack lump, swole up and popped with ooze and blood, but it took a week to completely pop. soaked in epsolm salt baths to ease the pain and used cortizone to ease the tingling itch at times, what is this?

You could very well have a pilonidal cyst, but this can be removed. It usually occurs in the region of the tail bone, but sometimes in other regions. It is usually the result of repeated friction that has caused hairs to penetrate the skin, and can contain blood, pus, hair, etc. Herpes simplex would be a cluster of tiny blisters that itch and burn, easily controlled with Abreva ointment from any drug store. Expensive, but worth every penny. Herpes is not dark-colored but could look dark in a photo. Once you get it, it goes away but comes back if you get too tired, have fever, cold, etc. "A raw rash along the whole length of the butt crack and it itched and was sensitive to the touch" Please pardon the frankness, but could it be that this needs more frequent washing, preferably in a shower? I went to a dance club and kissed someone. i woke up with a pimple-looking sore on my tongue that hurt. its not very inflamed, but a little bigger in that spot than my tongue should be. its on the very tip of my tongue, literaly.... canker sore? cold sore? i'm guessing its contagious. what can i do to treat it? can i cure it? it is not a burned taste bud, maybe infected through. i'm pretty sure i caught it from someone.
