Lord knows there were many times I popped a zit way too early in my teen years, just because I thought that it would help me get rid of the postule earlier, but of course it never did, it usually drew it out longer, and made it red and irritated and more noticeable than ever. What you can try is to use a warm compress, and make it pretty warm, not just lukwarm, it should border on hot, but you definitely do not want it to be uncomfortable to the touch, or you`re irritating the skin more than necessary and perhaps doing more harm than good to your precious skin. I like to use a wash cloth for my compress. I wet it thoroughly under very warm water, and then I appy gentle pressure to the immediate area where the zit is. This supposedly helps to draw a zit to the surface faster so that you don`t have one of those painful , under the surface bumps for so long. Typically, a zit that is ready to extract has a white head on it, and it does not hurt as much as when it`s under the surface. The more it hurts, the more you know it`s not ready to "pop" it, because the thing that`s causing the pain is the pressure, and the more pressure their is, the more likely you are going to end up with a scar from popping the zit before it`s ready. your mom has the right idea. some acne products make your skin get worse before it gets better. these are better in the long run because they are cleaning out all your pores and it sucks for the mean time but if youre patient it will be worth it. i recommend going to a dermatologist. they're experts at this stuff and will give you the exact right medicine to help you. =D

okay, i have a lot of blemishes... now when i start to wash my face, the blemishes always have white dots appear in the middle of them (which is a zit), so thats the only way i breakout. so i told my mom, and she said thats a good thing because a bleimish usually will not disappear on its own, a zit occurs first, and you get rid of it that way, so whenever i wash my face the next day where ever i have a blemish, it turns into a zit, is that supposed to happen? Clean and clear. just wash your face in the morning and at nite wash your face and use the astringent. cut down on greasy foods too. It works for me I hope you have luck with it to. i have a mild to severe case of blackheads on my nose. i've tried basically everything and nothing seems to work for me! pore strips, masks, scrubs, etc. the only thing that works for me is this blackhead tool that i found at walgreens, and it gets them all, but it is so painful! it literally feels like your scarring your skin as you get them out. i would normally not have a problem with this tool, because i can take alot of pain, but the problem is that my blackheads will come back in only 4-6 days and my nose will look like it has been invaded by black dots again! plus it is still healing from the damage i've done to it from getting them all out. i know i shouldn't be doing this to my face, because it can lead to scarring. problem is that nothing else works for me! i also use proactiv solution to bring them to the surface, which it does, but once again my problem is getting them not to keep coming back! this is so frustrating to me! i don't even get acne! i only once in a while get a zit, but it's gone the next day! please someone help me?! i'm tired of blackheads ruining my face!
