You can buy any size up to 120mm. All the stones look like flawless diamonds. But a big flawless diamond is rare, so if the aim is to look like a diamond it is better to get a smaller stone that would not be suspected as being a fake. Anything under 6mm wouldn`t be suspected as much as a bigger stone, but a bigger stone looks prettier.

that is one huge aquarium: like over 14 feet across and 11 feet high (or some derivative)! Anyway, acrylic is much cheaper than glass, but you'd have to check with a custom manufacturer for something that big. My reference is but one. Plus, if you're really talking aquarium, don't forget the cost of filters, temperature control, the water itself, plants, fish and maintenance!

That is huge, about 560,000 kg or 620 US tons. for the 150000 gallons of water alone, this will cost $800. This would be a project for a good structural engineer, as you need a lot of steel structure to support 620 tons. I'd say a lot more than US$25k. A lot more. A lot depends on location. An ordinary house won't support this weight, you need a special foundation poured, steel beams, etc. But again, first thing is to decide where this is to be located, then get a structural engineer to give you a quote. It may be that the location you pick may not be suitable without extensive demolition and rebuilding. Edit, let me put this another way. The aquarium in Boston has a huge central tank, 3 or 4 stories high, that holds 200000 gallons, only a bit larger than the one you propose. I suspect it cost many millions of dollars to build this. .

interesting question. A few years ago I had some lovely glass bottles as well as a vase that broke and decided to break them even further to make them into mulch and have a 'river' in the one part of the garden. who would have thunk it was not just a silly idea!!!!

A glass can hold 100 cubic cm cm. of liquid. find the dimensions which will minimize the cost of material to make the glass. Assuming there is no restriction on shape, a spherical container would use the least material. You can do the math. It has been done many times before and that is the answer. If you get another answer, you'd better check your work. If it has to be a cylinder then the area of the glass will be: A = pi times (r^2) plus pi times r times 2 times H where H is the height of the glass and r is the radius of the glass. The volumes is V = pi times( r^2) times H With these two relationships, you should be able to solve for the minimum area.

I wanted a 100-liter aquarium to raise guppies in, but after seeing how expensive they were, i decided to construct one myself. i determined a rectangular prism would be the best shape, but im uncertain about the dimentions. if 1 l=1000 cubic centimeters, give two different options for the length, width, and height of the aquarium. if sheets of glass cosr $0.10 per square centimeter, how much would it cost for each option? -reminders- -the aquarium is open on the top; there is no cover (therefore: 5 faces) -switching the length and width does not make a difference; 5cm x 10cm x 15cm is the same as 10cm x 5cm x 15cm. however, switching the height with the lenght or width does make a difference -make sure the aquarium is realistic and practical. each dimention should be at least 20 cm. - volume= length x width x height
