when i popped my spot a littel crustey thing came out it was weard but i had to pop it coz i am good looking and thet would reak my repertaion so thet was cool but my boyfriend said if u pop a spot and there is stll a red bit then rub a bit of toothpast on it and it will go it worked for lot of people and if u wont ur spot to go do this k it worked for me laters

"Conceal it with make up if the marking persists..."
For the time being, moisturize the skin, at night us an antiseptic or other healing cream to heal the area and at the least you will be able to conceal it with make up if the marking persists .
Sometimes the red marks left after the spot take their sweet ass time to go, so it is a matter of looking after the skin: moisturize and do not wash the area persistently as you need the skin to build up natural fats and oils.... this should make it go.
It is down to your skin type.... if you have fair skin then it will take longer.

if you have sensitivee skin, don`t use toothpaste!!! i have a scar left behind on my cheek due to this, it`s a very harmful chemical for sensitive skinn...

 Q. How long should it take for a wound to heal? my son had a cyst/ boil on his knee about a month and a half ago. it was not surgically removed or anything, but he had antibiotics to clear up the infection. it was fairly deep and left a pocket when some of the pus was removed.
he still has a scab on the spot. i was wondering how long it should take for something like that to heal? should i be concerned?

if it is a scab now i wouldnt worry it just depends on how long the body will take to fix it, taking a daily vitamin appropriate for his age group would help it heal a little faster. i think the time to be concerned has realy passed it is more vunerable when it is infected and has puss and is an open wound type of deal. if the scab has alot of cracks in it and you still see puss or if there is still pockets of puss under the scab i would go back to the doctor and check. but i think your pretty much in the clear.

Q. Hey how do i get rid off red marks on my face from a scab healed from a spot? i put aloe vera cream on top but was scared to rub it in and just left it to soak will this help? also it stung a lil when i first put it on what does this mean? someone please help really confused and scared :-( also i have other places where acne scabs have healed but i have like light brown marks in those areas what is this? my complextion is light brown it looks so disgusting i dont even wana go out ;-( how can i get rid of this , also how long does it take for red skin to heal and scabs from huge spots to heal im sorry about all the questions i really need peoples oppinion???!!!

Q. My dog has a scab that's 4 inches by 2 inches, how long will it take to come off? he has an elisabethan collar on (which incidentally, is the only thing that allowed his hot-spot to scab over rather than remain oozing, since he picked at it!)
he doesn't seem to eat well with it on, so i've been taking it off for a bit and supervising him to make sure that he doesn't scratch and upset the area... but i work, so i can't do that all the time!
how long will it take for the scab to heal over so he can live normally without that silly collar again?

the only reason i'm asking is because i've never had a scab that big, and i imagine that it will take quite a while to heal. we've tried the bandage thing before, and it doesn't work, also, i heard that with hot spots, you want to keep them as dry as possible, and a bandage doesn't seem very condusive to that...
the collar works, i just feel like a bad mom to leave that collar on for too long! poor baby :-(
Exactly 33 hours, 14minutes, and 59.8 seconds. IDK! But my uncle used to but this almost like neosporin on his dogs wounds and then covered it with like an animal bandage that you could get at the vets. Try that it will probably work. :)

Q. How long will it take for the fresh pink skin to heal after scabbing? it has now been about 3 week since i messed up my face. i fell and got bad road rash on my face. now all the scabbing is gone and i am left with pink spots on my face from where the scabs were. i was wondering how long it would take for those spots to blend with the rest of my face. and if their are any treatments that would speed up this process

Q. I have a huge raw spot on my face! how long will it take to heal & what would be best to help it heal fast? i got sunburned and i was an idiot and scrubbed my face because there was nasty, flaky skin on my right cheek... and it was totally raw yesterday and now there's a thin layer of -- i guess you could call it a scab -- over it (it's just firm to touch because it's starting to heal). i'm so upset because i'm going to edc (electric daisy carnival) this weekend and i'm hoping and praying that i don't have a huge splotch on my face by then! i've been using neosporin on it and moisturizing the rest of my face with neutrogena oil-free lotion with sunscreen in it. is there anything else i can do? how long would something like this take to heal?

How do you get rid of a major scab fast? im goin away on the 6th july with my boyfriend and his family and i have got a horrible and rather big scab on my chin and in between my eyebrows.also it is red and feel likes a bump underneath the scab on my chin, it realli hurts when i touch it.what is it under the scab??? i need help on how to heal the scabs asap i feel so ugly! ive tried toothpaste to dry it up and atm im using boots own 'skin clear one-touch spot stick' which is makin it heal quicker then before but i need it to be done quicker :( also how long do you think it will take to heal them both? please help!! thank you! x

When you take a shower, use a washcloth and put it under warm water and put it on your face for a while . Do this about five times then turn the water a bit hotter and repeat. It should help, just make sure you did it long enough.

How long does it take for a heavily scabbed tattoo to heal if i picked the really thin scabs off? i've had my tattoo for a week today. it scabbed over every last inch of the art after 3 days. heavily. when i got the tattoo, the artist told me that 'my body doesn't hold ink well' so it would scab more in some spots then others. iv'e been moisterizing it with jergens extra healing lotion regularly, taking all necessary aftercare proceedures. today i found that alot of the thinner scabs had fallen off in my sleep. i keep from under the covers to prevent this but it still happened. so, i decided to peel the other thin scabs and leaving the bigger ones. after i peeled some scabs leading into the heavily scabbed area, i started bleeding. now i stopped and continued to moisturize it. will the tattoo still heal the same or take longer?

You should never pick the scabs off or use lotion when healing your new tattoo. Use A & D ointment. Apply thin layer of ointment 5 to 7 time daily. Make sure your hands are clean before touching your tattoo. At this point just let the tattoo heal. It sounds like it might take a little longer to heal, but just let it heal. Do not use neosporin. A & D ointment is the best product to use. My husband has been a professional tattoo artist for 20 years this year. A & D ointment is the only thing he recommends. I am very heavily tattooed and have never scabbed like it sounds you have. With the scabs you have a good chance of needing to have the tattoo touched up. Scabs can and will pull the color out. This is why you never pick the scabs off. Just let it heal on its own. Tattoos do peel like a sunburn does, this is normal. The best thing you can do at this point is just let it heal, then have it touched up. I hope this helps. Good Luck !

The skin should heal completely in a few weeks, but don't let the scar tan - it will be darker than the rest of your skin forever.

If it didn't bleed again, it won't "scab" again but could go hard. It needs to to heal properly.
Healing process can take a good week or longer - depends if you play with it, itch it etc.
Speed up - well there is no way to actually speed it up passée. But keep it clean. Using Hydrogen Peroxide is pretty good too. HP also gets rid of spots well - it's what I use.
