Always start with inquiry removal. These items are much easier to remove than lates, collections and bankruptcy. I made a purchase in april of 2007. in june of 2007 i wanted to pay off the credit card and close out the account so i did so. now it is august and company i purchased from is calling me asking me where ther money is? because they can't charge that card anymore. please help.

Call your credit card company and ask if there are any time constraints regarding how long a merchant has to charge your account . I agree with a commenter above that typically, electronic transactions hit your account immediately. It sounds to me like this company is now trying to manually bill your account, and they can't because the account is closed. I'd be interested to know what kind of company it is. Their business practices don't seem very refined. Keep in mind, though, that you are still obligated to them for the goods or services they provided you, even if they were slow in charging your credit card.

I made a purchase about 4 months ago and it was a substantial amount and have been waiting to pay for it and it has not shown up on my statement yet. any ideas on if i could be charged in the future or did i just win a small lottery?

Also is there any way i could pay it before the statment comes? my credit card was not issued from my bank, but from another where my parents have their accounts, so would i go to my bank, or the bank that gave me a credit card? my first purchase was on august 30, my second was september 5....will it come on seperate statments?

It's usually every 30 days or so. If you have access to your account online it should say when the statement is made every month , or if you have a previous statement, it will say it on there too. You can pay it before the statement comes and the easiest way to do that is to set it up online. That way you have the most updated information on the balance and you don't have to deal with writing a check and mailing something. Hope this helps!

Ok, so if my credit card balance is 0.00; & i purchase something using my credit card, how long should i wait to pay it off so it will boost my credit score? right away? 1 week? 1 month? i have the cash to pay it off, i'm just trying to raise my credit score any way i can.

It really does not matter. As long as you pay the entire new balance on your statement before the bill is due, whether you pay the day you charge something or they receive your payment the day before it is due does not matter. What matters is that they receive your payment before the due date.

I made my first purchase a few days ago, and, currently my minimum payment (due at the beginning of july) is $0. does this mean that i won't be billed for this purchase until next month? also, if i do pay some money this month (even though the minimum is zero), will that still go toward my credit card balance?

Read the small print on the letter that came with your credit card. It should say how much of a grace period you should have before you have to pay. It might be about a month. But it depends on when the period started, probably around the beginning of the month. Your charge should show up soon on your record. Basically, any money you send to the company that's attached to your card will show up in your account. Have you received a statement yet?

A company usually submits credit card purchases very quickly, probably within a day or two. Three weeks is unusually long. The company may have lost your signed receipt. It is also possible that the waiter did not submit it but plans to use it to steal your identity. Therefore you should take immediate action. I don't know what you mean by your last sentence. You paid your bill? How is that relevant to the first questions. Check your statements carefully to make sure there are no unauthorized charges. If there are notify the card company immediately.

I buy three things with my credit card it s a hsbc bank credit card my bill is 6150 i add it up. i want to know how long would it take for them to send you that bill i use it last month around the 3 week of december. my friend say that i should call them and tell them that i didn t received the bill or else they will add interest on it and probably mess up my credit i thought that they will send you the bill that y am not worry about it. should i worry or not. this is my first time using a credit card

If you made the purchases in the third week of December, you probably wouldn't receive the bill yet. You may not receive it for at least another week. But, it wouldn't hurt to call them. You can usually find out what the amount due is and when it is due. Is this the first time you used the credit card? If you miss the due date, they will add interest and charge you a late fee. If it's more than 30 days late, they may report you to the credit agencies, which would mess up your credit. But, it sounds like you don't have to worry about that yet.
