I have a cyst or boil on my leg. It is red and my leg is swollen around it. What should I do?

i had a similar thing on my leg a couple of weeks back. I was going to go to the doctor to see what is was. However, in the shower, somehow there was some kind of hole that formed by me putting pressure on it? Anyways, after that you can just push the liquid out of it. The liqud might come back a couple of times slowly, but eventually it`ll dry away and the spot on your skin will fade. But before you burst it, i would still go and ask a doctore before you do anything major. :)

well, the last ten months for me have been extremely hellish. july, bit by a brown recluse and boil number one. august, boil two through six. september, bronchitis, treated not fixed, boil seven through 10 october, still the bronchitis, boil 11 though 18 november, pneumonia, ear infection, treated not fixed, boil 19 though 33 [kid you not, but by this time i'm a pro at lancing them myself] december, same ear infection but moved into both ears, panic attacks at least 5 times a day [previous condition, on .5mg on lorazepam and 10mg of celexa a day], boil 34 though 37 january, same ear infections, my gallbladder bursts [hospitalized for six days], after hospitalization, folliculitis over most of my body, poisoning from too many antibiotics. february, same ear infections, mostly just recovery from january, can't sleep, anxiety, depression, boil 38 thought 45 march, same ear infections, ulcer in descending colon, wisdom teeth [:(] diagnosed with mrsa, random blackouts, too many boils to count and april, same ear infections, more boils, being tested for pcos, thyroid, hormones, ect, found cyst in breast, currently feeling hot flashes, insomnia, depression, ect. over this time i've gained 70 pounds, lost all my friends to depression, been on more medications then my 76 year old grandmother and had to repeat school because i couldn't get out of bed in the morning. i just want to know how i can be healthy as a horse, not ever a cold or flu in years then bam this. what's wrong with me? i do not smoke, i do not do drugs, i work out at least 4 times a week for 3 hours a day, i eat healthy, i get all my servings of fruit and veggies and drink at least 3l of water a day and i'm 19 years old. i'm tired of being told to go to the next doctor and the next and the next only to be passed along to this specialist and this specialist and so on. i'm tired of losing my life to being sick. i'm tired of not getting answers. i just want to be better. i just want my life back. please, anyone walking with me, i could use the company.

Wow, that sounds tough! It could just be an accumulation of things set off by each other and causing a run of bad luck. However, it does sound like an immune-deficiency of some kind. I really don't want to alarm you, but perhaps you should consider an HIV test. If you're sure it can't be that then you'll have to hang on until the doctors can get to the bottom of it. If you think it could be that then don't panic, it can be controlled by medication now, but the sooner you know the better. Please accept my apologies if I'm totally barking up the wrong tree. I'm really sorry for you to be having such horrid health problems so young. I can only say hang on in there. Are you sure you've lost all your friends? Real friends stick around, but maybe you need to encourage them. They may feel like you're pushing them away. Good luck!
