What do i do if i went a little overboard when popping a huge pimple? i popped a huge pimple of mine. it was very large and now it looks very disgusting. i made sure that it didn't get infected by using alcohol. i now have a bandage on it to further reduce infection. is there anything more i could do to make it heal faster or make it not look so bad?

Q. Popped pimple, huge raw skin spot!!!!? okay, i know you're not suppossed to pop pimples because it usualy just makes it worse, but i couldn't help myself. i popped this huge pimple right between my eyebrows and i kept picking at it (bad idea) finnaly i went "wow i need to stop picking at it!!!" and i rubbed an alchohol pad on it to keep the dirt from my hand from infecting it and the zit and about 2-3cm around it turned pure white. i asked my dad what i shud do and he said to put a cold washcloth on it and wait till the morning, in the morning all the white had turned into all red. it looks raw and red and has a few more pimples around it. is there anything i can do to make it heal faster or take care of it or anything. i would really apreciate it.

not rubbing alchohol, i'm not crazy. there deep pore cleansing pads from clearasil that use salicylic acid

Popped huge pimple on chin, now its a scab. i don't get pimples usually just every once in a while but there was a huge one on my chin and i was a dumb a** and popped it. and now i put some aloe vera on it so it is all gooey and i just wanted to know if i should keep putting aloe vera on it or some acne medication or even just leave it alone. if so how long would it take to heal

Bruise-like mark on skin after huge pimple heals? i had what seemed like a massive pimple on my arm by my armpit a month or so ago... it was extremely large, around 3cm in diameter, and then also redness surrounding that. it was also extremely painful. i used a hot cloth to try to bring it to a head, but then it seemed to start to heal itself. it never popped at all, just seemed to decrease in size. it was almost completely healed - you couldn't even see a mark anymore, just a little bit of skin sensitivity in the area, however now the area is blotchy red and looks like a bruise. it is also slightly puffed out and extremely sensitive again... does anyone know what this may be? should i be concerned?

note: this mark occured well over a week after the pimple was completely gone with no marks at all. plain skin for an entire week and then this the bruising and red marks appeared.

When the pimple (or i think it is a boil, because pimples arent that big like you described it) heals, or goes down, all the stretched, inflamed, and irritated skin is left behind when the pus is gone. Thats why there is still a mark there. Your skin might still be sensitive, and it may take a while for it to repair itself, like in normal bruises.

Pimple/huge spot on face? so i had a huge pimple and i popped it (stupid) and ive tried to get rid of the redness so much the skin came off. now theres patches of skin missing and around it the skin is super hard and red (almost bruised color) and what heals "scabs" or heal skin faster? ive stayed out of school for three days because it looks so bad.

LEAVE IT ALONE! The more you pick at it the worse it going to get. If it is red and feels hot it is infected. If not, then put an ice pack on it to help with the swelling. DONT put any make up, oils, creams, face cleaners on it until it heals. If it scabs, leave the scab ALONE. It will fall off when it heals. Drink lots of water, it will help flush the skin out. Put a band aid on it and get back to school. Don't be a drama queen!!! Good Luck

I had a huge pimple..i stupidly enough popped it..now its all white and red!!?...help? so i had this huge pimple right..it didnt exactly have a head but it was a huge lump..i waited like two days and then i kinda saw a head so i popped it...a bit of the white stuff came out but there was still a huge lump...the thing still hurt alot and was kind of big..i put hot cloth and ice on it but it was still bad....later today i popped i and now watery fluid is coming out...ive experienced with something similar and it took awhile to heal but its bec i didnt leave it alone....i know this will turn into a scab and since its kinda big waht can i do to make the healing process faster...i wont touch it bec now i know how long it take for this crap to heal but heeeelp me..im desperate

SOunds like it could be a cystic blemish. Get some Clean & Clear Acne medication (silver and purple tube you can get it at the drug store or Walmart).. it's the best that I've found so far. It'll take longer for it to go away if it's a cystic blemish, but hang in there and keep putting that stuff on it.
