Hello.How do u get rid of a big pimple that wont pop? Why can`t I figure this out? I am going to a meeting in a few weeks and I need the answer before then.

Lowell	"Come to a head (have white/yellowish pus inside..." I have one too, right on my nose! Okay, first of all, popping pimples is bad but popping pimples that have not come to a head (have white/yellowish pus inside ) is even worse. If you are a pimple popper, wait until there is almost full of pus before you pop it. After it is popped, apply some neosporin or triple antibiotic cream directly on to the pimple so there is a thin layer over the pimple. This is to stop infection and to have the pimple heal faster. Then apply topical acne medicine (clean and clear, neutrogena, etc., over the counter medicine from target, walgreens, etc.) over the neosporin or triple antibiotic. This is to dry the pimple out and make it smaller. Then get some rest! I would advise leaving the pimple alone and not touching it, however. Oh, and if you do pop it, a scab will probably start to form. Although scabs might not look great, they are essential to the healing process so don`t pick them or they`ll come off an the can leave a scar. Once the new layer of skin is formed, the old scab will fall off and voilà! There might still be a faded red mark but that`ll go away. If you don`t pop the pimple, which is better than popping it, just put some topical medication on it like the ones with benzoyl peroxide that I described to you earlier. You can also buy topical acne medicine with salycic (if that`s how you spell it) acid which does the same job as the benzoyl peroxide. Toners are good. I recommend sea breeze or neutrogena toner from target or walgreens. You need to wash your face before you go to bed!!! Acne washes work well but only use acne face washes along with the toner and the topical stuff if you have oilier skin because all of these medicines are supposed to dry up your skin. However, never over-dry your skin; you might want to use a moisturizer at least once a day or as needed (just a suggestion as it is different with each person). Lastly, keep your hands off your face or The oil and dirt from your hands will clog your pores and make you have a breakout. Good luck!
