Commissions are a large factor in trading stocks. S on-line brokers are the cheapest. You can register with an on-line broker and try out there system for six months without lodging any money. If you can join a club it is a good way to start trading. By pooling your money, you are only risking a small amount. Taking a course is a good investment. But practice paper trading two or three stocks before you trade money. I want to trade share but i have not much money how to trade. I need a little help/direction before I can start. Any nuggets of wisdom would be absolutely great and very much appreciated.

We've never done this before but now i feel so stupid and used. we went to this dealership to see if we can trade our car for a new one. so to make the story short, the car salesman told us that we wouldn't qualify to trade it in but what we could do is take the car we are currently making payment on back to the dealership where we got it and it won't be our problem anymore. he says it will be the dealership's problem. and he said he could refinance us in 6 months for a lower rate and even wrote a promisary not to help us refinance. since then we had to settle with the bank for the car we returned. the dealership now has fired him cause he done it to other people too. is there anyway we can sue him for what we paid the other bank to settle?

I am sorry you had to go through this and not every car salesperson is that way. I had a friend ask me about the same thing and I told her not to do it. The problem is and you don't know this yet but you now have a repo on your history because you let the other car go back you will not be able to refinance the new car. If you can find him you may be able to do something but those guys move from market to market just scamming people. You may put a note in your credit file telling the situation but it more than likely wont help. Talk to an attorney and see what he says. I am in quite a situation, i financed a 2004 ford mustang 40th anniversary edition car from a local car dealership in south carolina. when i got my loan they told me my payment would be 261.00, i told them i wasn't familiar with what sort of insurance i needed and they offered to set it up for me. they called geico and then told me my insurance would be 150 a month, i got out a pen and added 261 and 150 and decided to get the car because it fit into my budget. 4-5 months later i get a letter from the bank telling me i have the wrong insurance and i need full coverage which will cost me about 520 a month instead of 150. i can't afford that insurance and the lowest quote i can get is for 380 which is still to much. my question is, is this a matter i could get a lawyer and sue over? my credit is completely destroyed now because i can't afford the car / insurance so i can't just trade it in and get a new car financed. i also have no one to co-sign for me. 10pts to most helpful ans.

The answer to the title of your question is simple. Yes, the dealership can let you drive off without liability. Dealerships will need proof of insurance to get a deal funded from the bank and in that circumstance, the dealerships have insurance companies that will issue a binder that is just comp and collision. The reason for this is because the banks want insurance to protect the car. These binders though are generally only good for roughly 10 days. Thats the bad news, Now I have been in the car business for over 25 years, and here in Los Angeles, where premiums are some of the highest in the country, I have never heard of car insurance being that high even if the customer was young, but with a dui or 2 maybe. I have insurance people that write with companies like state farm that could get you full coverage here for about 120 a month. You need to deal with agents directly and not brokers. Most companies like geico and AIS and others like that are not insurance companies themselves, but are just insurance brokers. Unfortunatly for you, there is no legal action that you can take you are just stuck. I recently traded in my vehicle for a used one at a private dealer. i thought they gave me a great deal by extending it to a 6 year term to lower the payment. days later, several banks including the dealer were calling incessantly to change the contract for a “better deal” (‘as it is subject to approval’) as i understood. however, neither could approve me for a 6 year term (like i had agreed originally) so they urged to sign a 5 year contract. i spoke to the manager there and he said i needed to make up my mind otherwise they would cancel the contract. i was fine with it. i couldn’t afford it in that case. the used car needs major repairs anyway so why not take it back? i did. he worked up an even greater deal so i’d keep the car. now, i’m facing even more problems than before. they haven’t completed the work they promised they would. my auto insurance is calling me because the dmv has mismatched information of the vehicle. the extended warranty included in my contract does not exist!!! and most important they haven’t even paid for the vehicle i traded (because my former financing bank is about to send me to collections for late payment). i’ve tried contacting them again to get this problem solved and according to them they’re taking care of everything but they’re not able to provide me with any proof/copies like i requested for my documentation. please help!!! is this worth a case i can argue?

I used to work for a car distributorship. I know exactly what they did . . . you have not bought the car yet. They let you drive it off the lot thinking they could finance the "new" deal with a different vendor and our probably shopping your deal right now . . . That is why the have not paid off the car . . . banks generally give the dealers about 45 days to pay off the loan. You need to get everything in writing. It seems like they are not willing or able to do so . . . so you need to send a written letter stating your version of events, stating that you do not believe that the car was sold under a legal contract as defined by the U.C.C. (the set of laws that oversees contracts over 1500.00) and ask them to either "unwind" the deal (where they return your car and you give them theirs). Also ask for an official letter on company letterhead explaining the situation so that you can dispute the "late" charge on your credit report.Send this letter certified return receipt with signature required. Wait about three days, follow up with another letter of phone call "threatening" (be nice but clear) that if the deal is not unwound or completed within 48 hours you will have no further options but to file a complaint with your states Attorney General and your dealerships corporate headquarters. The dealer will probably laugh at the Attorney General option but shit in their pants over the threat to call corporate. Corporate determines bonuses and distribution incentives for retailers . . . so they definitely don't want them down their throats.

Hey all. i have an 04 saturn ion 3d quad coupe, and trade in value (according to kelly blue books) is $4150. i have had the car for 2 years, have never missed a payment on it, and had one minor accident (not my fault) but was repaired. also, a saturn dealership had messed up my speedometer, so it doesn't do anything anymore, and they refuse to fix it. (thinking about better buisness). anyways, the car is in my name, and my mom is the co-signer, and she refuses to let me move it out of state, in case i get in an accident and she get sued since i have low in-come. (has happened to a family member.) and i can't get the car fully in my name because i have hardly any credit, but credit score is 648? :( i would like to know: 1) is there anyway i can get the car in my name? i have been denied by a 2 banks and a credit union. ( have been at my job 6 months, and hardly any credit they said.) 2) if not, is there anyway to trade my car in for another car, and possibly get that car in my name? (i owe 5212.00 on it.) :( but i can put 1300 down on the car. i need a reliable car at that as well. =/ please let me know.

If you try to trade it in on a different car you won't get anything close to the $4150 that KBB shows. You will be lucky to get $3000 on a trade. If the car is in your name, your mother as a co-signer would have no liability exposure other than paying for the loan if you fail to do so ,which is the same exposure she has now.
