I have a company in India and would like to open a bank account in USA to get my payments from companies here in that account. Can you please guide me how this can be done.

Yes a foreign company can open a bank account. Different banks will have different specific requirements, however, in general they will all require the foreign company register for an EIN number with the IRS and Register / apply for a Certificate to do business with the Secretary of State in the locality they wish to establish the account.

Someone said: even with these items, EIN number, incorporation docs tied to the US, most banks STILL require someone tied to the corporation, or opening the account, to have a US Social Security number.

I am an indian (also residing in india), want to open a llc bank account for my company in usa. what is the procedure for it? also let me know what are the documents i need to provide? what are the (best) banks that provide this service with least transaction fees i.e. transfering money from llc account to an indian bank account?
